Thought I would throw in this warning here. Where my blog used to be about kota, cleaning and the animals, it is now liable to be mostly about my tae kwan do class. But it is because I am so excited about it and just loving it! Tonight I had to do my form in front of the class, all of us did. And the high belts had to watch us all and for each mistake we made we would have to do 15 pushups. Yes, the dreaded pushups. They went in order from highest belt to lowest. And they also grouped it by belt. So all the green belts went together, etc. Everyone had to do pushups, even Kota. So when it came time for me Master Reynolds just winked at me and told me I could do it. Well there is another white belt who is really struggling with his form. So Master Reynolds was helping him as the rest of us went at our own pace. When we finished we had to stay in our last stance until all the students in our level were done. I swear I had to stand there with one fist up for about 10 minutes. I was getting such a cramp. Master Reynolds asked his high belts how we did. The first kid had to 30 pushups. The one struggling didn't have to do any because this was only his second class. Another kid had to do 15 pushups. when it came to me I was cringing. I had to do........NONE!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO! This was kind of like testing, to see how well we know our forms.
After class the one high belt who helps all the beginners gave me some tips on what I could do better, namely be more aggressive with my punches.
Tomorrow is bring a friend day so guess who I am taking?? HUBBY! LOL Even Master Reynolds said that he had to do it! hehehehe, I can't wait to see how he does in our warmups! It should be alot of fun.
We had a storm hit and it was really pouring as we left the dojang. I thought if I ran I wouldn't get as wet, but I don't think it really mattered. lol
Tomorrow I will practice my form in the back yard. Under kota's direction.
