And Another Thing

I forgot to mention this tidbit. When we went to class last night we were confronted by alot of people about if we are going to be in the parade tonight. Tonight is our town's halloween parade and our martial arts school has a float. I told them all that we did not help out at all with the float. They assured me that mine and kota's presence was 'needed'. lol So I rushed off to walmart this morning for things to wear under our uniforms. Its going to be chilly. While at walmart I ran into John, one of our instructors. He asked again, are you going to be in the parade? I told him, I kind of don't have a choice. I was threatened with my life by everyone at class. (joking). He told me I will probably be sitting down so I should bring a blanket. yay! It should be fun though and Kota is over the moon excited about being in a parade!!! I will take my camera and try and get pics of everyone and the good floats I see. Its a big deal, this parade. The community goes all out for it. At first I was just going to have Kota be on the float, but then I thought, how will I ever find him after the parade? So I will be there, doing my wave and throwing candy to the crowds. The only other parade I have been in was my senior year of high school homecoming parade.
So dinner will be beef stew in the crock pot. I do need to whip up some rolls or something though.
side note: I had to turn off the gas fireplace, even on low it was over 75 degrees in here! I will turn it back on before we go to the parade. We might not even need our oil furnace. Hubby has another gas heater he got and he is thinking of getting one more. That should heat our whole house. Even with just the one heater, it has warmed up most of the downstairs and our bedroom upstairs! It was almost too warm for me in the bedroom last night. I like it chilly when I sleep. I guess those new windows the landlord put in are really helping out alot!

This first winter in this house is going to be interesting for you. Trying to figure out the insulation / heating.

Awesome that your place stays so warm from the fireplace!
I haven't ever been in a parade. I hope you both have a BLAST!
