Talked to My Niece

Last night my niece B called me, the one who is pregnant. She sounds so happy! It was so good to talk to her. And I have a cute kota story. 2 summers ago B came and stayed at my mom's house for the summer. She was working down here and just wanted to hang out in Delaware that summer. Kota loved going to meemaw's and seeing B. When she was leaving to go back to PA at the end of the summer, Kota gave her a stick from the yard. He told her it was something to remember him by. She still has that stick in her car! She said people get it and ask what the stick is for. She tells them, thats kota's stick! I thought that was just adorable. B has always been a very slender person and I told her this might be the only time she gets big in her life. lol
I am reading another James Patterson book. Its called 6th Target. It is the latest in his women's murder club series. I could not put it down last night! I think it was midnight before I finally turned my light off. I guess its a good thing I got 4 books this time instead of 3. Kota got this really neat book about Lego's. It shows all these amazing designs that people make. Like the statue of liberty! I told him I am lucky I can build a square house!
Its warm today! But we are going to get rain and storms. We do need the rain. We are still making up for last summer's drought. And its dry out there. I visited with the neighbors last night. The husband was pulling out dead trees, using his truck. He said its the redneck way to do it. I told him I had two dead trees he could come over and pull up! They told me they had a good chuckle sunday. They were watching kota in the yard. He had a trash bag and was using it as a parachute, jumping off the front steps. He definitely has an imagination!
time to do my chores, feed the kittens, clean the litter boxes and walk the dogs. toodles!

Loved Kota's gift of a stick and that your dear niece has kept it — the sign of two loving hearts. Kota is such a cutie. Are James Patterson's books good mysteries or are they scary? I'm waaaay to wimpy for Stephen King! Here's some good weather news, Mary: All the snow has finally melted!

Sweet story about the stick. My dad, when he was a little boy, decided he wanted to fly. He made a cape and pretended to be Superman. He jumped off of the toilet. lol...ended up breaking a tooth.

aww...what a sweet story about Kota. I'm trying to get through the last book in the "Harry Potter" series. It would help if I were an 11 year old.

I love Patterson! I'm trying to read "Cell" by Stephen King and I'm really suffering through it. It's like a remake of his old books!

Those kid gifts are the best ones ever!I need to run by the book store and buy some Patterson. I haven't read him in a while. He is one of my favorites also.

I still have the 'smurff' plaster model that Joss gave to me one Christmas, Lynnette had bought him a set of kiddie plaster moulds it sits on the shelf in my front room - I'd never throw it away I recall my lot making parachutes out of bin bags - it is amazing how the years go by! Enjoy watching his antics (good & bad - they last forever)

hehe
Kota is adorable...
I remember my nephew gave me a bead thing he made, I left it on my shifter and totally forgot about it, but I had the same experience where people would ask me about it and it would remind me of him. Then he saw it still with me and he was ecstatic! I was glad I put it where I did!
I hope you have a great day!
