Fredo did a post about how to cut expenses in these trying times and asked for our input.
Hubby takes his own coffee with him, he has a big thermos he fills up every morning. I think he mostly skips lunch and works through.
I save up all my errands for one day. I am lucky in that all of my errand running is all in one town. Normally I don't go anywhere during the day.
As for groceries, I just try to buy what is on sale or whatever is cheap that week. I get the sales flyers and have the discount cards, that helps a little.
As for the electric, I keep everything off in the daytime. LOL Except the computer. At night I am constantly running around turning off lights in rooms where there is no one. *glares* My next step is to get hubby to put up a clothesline for me, that will really cut back on the electric as I am constantly doing laundry. Or get him to hang a line inside the house for rainy days.
The gas in the car lasts us a long time. Hubby drives a company vehicle so we are really blessed in that area. And I don't go anywhere so gas will last me between paydays, two weeks.
Planting a big garden this year and will be canning and freezing alot for winter use.
