Time Marches On

There are a million things to do right now. Ashley has requested more white chocolate and peppermint candy. Adrienne's band concert was last night and they did very well.
Ted was not inclined to stay and visit so we didn't get to
meet Bobby's stepmother's new live in lover. He wasn't at
all nice looking but she is very happy and just glowed so I
am happy for her. She has been so lonely and it has been
almost four years since Bob sr. died.

Bobby had a CT scan yesterday to see if the cancer has spread
but we won't know until Tuesday. I hope that they will schedule surgery next week but this is a bad time of year to
get anything medical done. In the meantime, hard work is
something of an antidote for me. If I am cleaning or working
in the yard, the hard lump in my chest abates somewhat.

We were astonished that the 8th grade band had come so far.
They really did well. It made me wonder if Sara had tried
to throw together a concert in the short time she has had
with her band.

Keeping busy cleaning, cooking, getting out, etc. is good medicine. Continue activities for an aching heart.

That's right.

Sending good thoughts your way re. your son. As for the unlikely pairing of Bobby's stepmother, how often do we look around us at our friends and say oh, yeah, I'd put them together.

That is right. She was lonely and he is good for her. I am sure no one
would have picked Ted for me. He wasn't sedate enough.

yes,do keep yourself busy and try not to dwell on things.
I know this is hard being a mother and want to get things going there.
You will be fine.Enjoy the Christmas season and make it a happier one.
I know that this will be on your mind and that you will take care of things.Music is the best therapy.

Yes Fredo, I would like to go to a midnight Christmas service and just let
the music wash over me. Friends like you help a lot.

I am hoping the best for your son... I am glad you at least have an outlet for your stress. I think I would be completely opposite.

Everytime my daughter and I almost have a melt down we find something hard to
do. I went and got him a juicer and some antioxidant food and had them come
over for dinner. Scrubbing floors is good therapy.

Staying busy and focusing on enjoying the family and the holidays will help considerably. I am anxious to hear about your son.

Music is especially wonderful at this time of year. I'm looking forward to a number of concerts myself. In the meantime, so many tasty recipes and crafts are dancing in my head and on my to do list, to which I keep adding merry ideas.

A prayer candle is burning for Bobby as part of my Advent wreath....
