We just returned from the Sheriff's substation where we
took our donations of bedding, clothes, food and money.
I just can't believe the churches are not helping much, but
our people are coming together. There are large donations
at the substation including furniture.
The fire in Luther is north and east of us and was deliberately set. I don't see how anyone could be that
lowdown and mean. The one around Norman was not arson
but it destroyed a lot of rural trailer homes that were
very probably not insured.
I am sure jondude was right about eventual food shortages
and high prices. Drought does terrible things. We are
grateful to be cool even though we can smell the smoke.
