I have been overwhelmed with bad news. My son appears to
have an infection from his surgery. Sue is close to my
heart and I was shocked to hear of her ordeal in the
bathtub. A friend from my antique and collectables club is
in the ICU. Her kidneys shut down and she is not expected
to live and she is not even fifty yet. Poor Henry, who mows
my lawn, called yesterday and said his wife's cancerous
tumors on both her breast and in her lung cannot be removed
because the one on her lung has to be shrunken before they
can operate, it is too close to her aorta. There is not one
thing I can do for anyone but Bobby, except empathize. I can
take soup over there and dispense whatever comfort I can.
I voted this morning early. I felt informed about the state
questions and the candidates but I was ill informed about the
judges. I voted to keep the supreme court judges intact
because the tea party is trying to get them removed. I think
we should be more informed about the elected judges. In fact,
I think there should be a committee to appoint them instead
of having them elected.
Today is Ashley's birthday. She was so excited this morning
because she expected many Happy Birthday greetings. She is
easy because she wanted money and cupcakes for her birthday.
