That Chinese curse has certainly come true for all of us in 2020. I never thought I would see a global pandemic or a flim flam man try desperately to cling to power and try to subvert the will of the people.
On a personal level, I am trying to cope with extreme pain on my left side. It makes walking painful and my visit with a specialist is due December 22. My dr says I will probably get a steroid shot directly into the hip. I hate old age with a purple passion because it robs one of so much that we take for granted.
We have been invited to have Thanksgiving dinner with friends but Ted does not want to go. I am smoking a turkey breast and will take half of it to their house. We don't eat the dark meat and it seems like a waste to buy a whole turkey. I will have the traditional Thanksgiving meal.
We are one of the states where covid is surging. Much to my surprise, I was invited to a Christmas party at the governor's mansion. I will decline because it is bound to be a super spreader event.
My grand daughter, Ashley was living in the dorm at O.U. She now has covid but I am not worried because she is a strong healthy girl.
I am confident that she will be ok. Her main symptom is being unable to taste or smell.
