I don't watch much tv. I read instead but am currently
out of good books and need to go to the library today for
a new supply.
Last night was one of those sleepless nights that come
along. With nothing to read, I opted for tv. This is
what I got for our outrageous charge that I can do nothing
about because Ted loves the sports channels and the
automobile channels.
The Smithsonian channel: A fake reality tv show where
bearded mountain men were pretending to forage for food
for an autumn fest. I wondered why they didn't just have
the camera men bring them groceries. Instead they floundered around killing birds and fish and boiling plants, stones and bark for soup and drying berries for
a sweet.
The movie channels were wretched. I have always loved
old movies but it didn't take long for me to weary of
Lolita on TCM.
Fortunately, I got sleepy and tired of changing channels
and Rex and I went back to bed. I think brain rot would
soon set in if tv was my only entertainment. Perhaps
it was the time period that was at fault. Midnight
isn't exactly prime time.
