Insanity Has Triumphed

Americans are going to Syria to fight with ISIS. A nine year
old girl was shooting a machine gun at a target and killed the
instructor. Have people gone bat sht crazy. Don't we have
enough problems without troubled people joining up with
extremist terrorist groups and children learning to use
assault weapons. Now mothers are against vaccines and if there are a significant number of them, a health crisis could
occur. They have obviously never seen a child with diphtheria.

we have become such a violent society. People are obsessed
with guns. I will never understand it. Peaceful people are
happy. Where is all of this rage coming from? It is a
national problem. The word hate is used too much and sadly
enough it is felt too often.

The nightly news is hard on my stomach.

i wish we could go back to more simple times. when kids could be out until dark, you didn't have to worry about who was watching your kid and walking down the street was safe.

Me too, Mary. My husband is paranoid and I guess with good reason but I
hate it. He and my children won't let me walk 3 blocks when it is dark
between our houses. My grand daughters are so sheltered that I marvel at
the fact that I was allowed to live on my own at seventeen.

Only too true what you are saying, there was another pic of a child standing with a knife in one hand about to cut the throat of a doll.
Abbott our PM is joining in with the USA by sending fighter planes there will be a riot if he sends troops as well.
The anti vaccine lobby should be banned , but then ! we live in a democracy, the pro vaccination people doctors etc should be more vocal , at one stage here a kindergarten was going to refuse children who weren't vaccinated attendance , that was a FIZZ went off the radar

It is an epidemic of craziness. I look back at the past and I don't
think we were insane enough to love guns and so paranoid that we all had
to have security systems with cameras. I can't imagine letting people
teach their children to use assault weapons and I can not see a person
who is a citizen of the United States becoming an extremist.

It is sickening indeed that our freedoms have come to be permission to destroy us. But those American-born terrorists will find out what it is like to be in a 3rd world environment. I hope it wakes them up.

They are a threat to all of us when they sneak back in to the United States.
I heard last night that several of them have been killed. The gun worship
frightens me. What are parents thinking?

I don't consider those bastards fighting for ISIL to be Americans. So they were born here and that makes them citizens, but it doesn't make them Americans. And if the gun business, maybe somebody will open a racetrack and let drive fast cars at 100 MPH.... just for fun, of course. A treat for tourists.

They are not Americans in a true sense but misfits who are blaming our
society for their problems adjusting. I don't think they should be allowed
back into the States and their actions declared treason. The guns in the
hands of children and the distrust of vaccines floors me.

That 9-year old with a gun story is so bizarre. The parents should be blamed, the instructor should be blamed, and the owner of the gun range, too. That girl has to live with this for the rest of her life. And her parents recorded it.

Child abuse.

I was watching the nightly news with Brian Williams and they said that
children learning to use assault weapons was a common practice at gun
ranges in Nevada and Arizona. A lot of the parents considered it useful
instruction. Of course that little girl will have a sick memory to deal
with and I think the parents are nutso.

I get enough bad news from Facebook, can't imagine watching the news on top Of that... Although I did not know we were sending troops to Syria. Ugs. Ugs!

I guess we just have to do the best we can but it does seem as though
the world has gone mad. I live in a bubble but sometimes I just have
to rant.

We're not sending troops to Syria. These guys were born in the US and went to fight WITH ISIL. Citizens by birth certificate, but hardly Americans.
