Grandma Pride

Adrienne was elected 4.0 Princess and got her tiara
yesterday. We are shopping for a formal today because
the parade is Friday and it will probably have to be
shortened.

She is having a fantastic senior year. Bobby went to
O. U. on a leadership scholarship and they are coming to
the house to take pictures and interview them because of
the legacy and Adrienne's academic record and her passion
for engineering.

I have always been concerned that Adrienne was not having
enough good teen age fun but this year is so rewarding for
her.

I am so grateful that Bobby is still here to enjoy seeing
her so happy.

I have such good kids and grandkids said she with a smug smile. It was
nothing I did, it was a gift!

I think women engineers tend to be more personable than men engineers.

Let's hope, it is huge that she is so excited about her dress. Normally
clothes and makeup don't inspire her.

How cool! Ron is an engineer but he's very laid back so we mesh well.
Happy to hear she is so happy!!!!!

I know you and Ron are perfect for each other. You are such a caring
and outgoing person.

That's great! I like hearing about successful kids.

I have been exposed to a lot of these high achievers through my grandchildren and have enjoyed them. Such a contrast to what you see
on the news every night.

That's wonderful. Kids who work hard enough to keep a perfect gpa deserve to be celebrated. I didn't know tiaras were still in use, but I have never been to the South. Cool, is she thinking of attending OU too?

Yes, she is already enrolled in O.U. She has already taken 7 AP classes
so will have almost a semester of college credit next fall when she starts. I wanted her to have a little fun because she has worked so
hard and this year she is having it. She is in band and jazz band so she will have a great trip this year too.

I don't know what a 4.0 Princess is, but it sounds wonderful. So happy for you Grannie, and for Bobbie. This has to give him a lift. It is also interesting to learn Adrienne is interested in engineering. (Mechanical? Electrical?) Not many girls are. Keep us posted.

Adrienne intends to be a chemical engineer. Having been married to a
mechanical engineer, I found engineers to be dreadful company and I hope
Adrienne will be more well rounded. Her gpa is actually higher than
4.0 and I am glad they get to have a princess too. I am not dissing
engineers, it is just that I have a social worker personality and we do
not jibe.
