Good Things

I have been here wondering what to write about and decided
to share a few things that make my life easier and more
comfortable.
l. Refresh P.M. If your eyes are scratchy, you can put it
in them at night and wake up free of irratation. My opthamologist suggested that I use it.

2.A tiny little flashlight. Ted got it for me and I keep it on my bedside table.

3. Deep Woods Off. Insects are really drawn to me.

4. Gold bond itch cream. (for the insects that make it past the Off.)

5.Memory foam pillows. They have stopped the neck and
shoulder pains we used to wake up with.

6. Glade Sense and Spray. It lasts a month and releases
a light fragrance when you pass it.

7. And Benadryl. It is a must have around here.

None of these things are expensive but they make life so
very much more pleasant. Share yours with me.

I love all of Gold Bond's lotions. I have very dry skin.

Mentholatum for the lips (and nose, if runny), and Vaseline for the "behind" (I sweat and chafe a lot down there). My saviors (excuse the bluntness)!

Mr. Troutbend keeps a hunting knife and a bowling ball on his side of the bed, handy for throwing at intruders. He ought to have a pretty good aim with the bowling ball, with all the practice he's had.

I have a baseball bat!

Ted sleeps with a homemade billy club on his side. The bowling ball is a
novel idea.

If your car has an alarm, it's a good idea to keep your keys by your bed. If you hear noise in the night, you can push the panic button and the alarm will scare away any intruders. Keep those Southside Locos at bay!! Take care. I like your list.

That is an excellent idea. We have an alarm system and it makes us feel
more secure and also we have a cop across the street. There are a lot of
angry people out there.

Oh, this is a super idea, and I can't wait to get to Colorado and try it. Reminds me of the time the raccoons were thumping around on the roof in the middle of the night and I had forgotten to shut the garage door, and I was afraid to go do it in the dark. Could have triggered the alarm and maybe scared anything out of the garage that was in there.

That's a neat list. I have a flashlight by my bed and I like that it's there just in case! I'm afraid to use those plug in type things due to fire hazards and the pups being here.
I guess I like my body pillow, my iPhone, and my puppies.

I would never have thought of Dayquil. I love my little flashlight so I
can get up without turning on a light until I get the bedroom door shut
again. Ted has a little pharmacy.

I use Theratears for my dry eye, but I will try Refresh P.M. too. Also I might get a memory foam pillow. Thanks for tips. I've been using Lanacaine for itch problems. It's okay. I have a little box full of med creams -- cortisone, boric acid ointment, Orajel, Neosporin, Clearasil. Pharmacies love me.

Refresh is a salve and if your eyes are irritated it fixes you up by
night. I have dry eyes and need something for daily use so I will
try theratears.

I have one of those little flashlights to read by when we stay in a hotel and I wake up during the night and can't get back to sleep. Dayquil is my life saver for those days when I feel a little headachy and draggy.

ops! I am still half asleep. Your reply is above.
