This is Not a Good Day!

I, who am so seldom sick, went to bed last night nauseated
and ill. I woke up this morning dreading to take Jose for
his morning walk, but managed to survive it. I still feel
rotten.

Yesterday, my favorite BIL and SIL came over and spent the
day. They were totally in shock over the election and we
mourned together. We decided to try and plan a weekend
trip as soon as possible. The weather is gorgeous.

I have to pick up Ashley about noon. She is marching in
the Veteran's Day parade. I would go and see the band if
I felt better. They are so cute in their full uniforms and plumes.

Next week, we have an outing planned, with my antiques and
Collectibles club to visit a glass blower's studio and
watch him actually blow glass. I certainly hope that
I am not feeling this way long.

I fixed up a box for Christmas for children. I will drop
it off Sunday. I mostly bought hats and matching gloves
and a few tee shirts and hand puppets. When I was little, my grandmother supplied me with crocheted hats
and mittens for Christmas. They were never stylish and
I seldom wore the hats. I tried to get more appealing
looks and children seem to wear their hats now. Adrienne
has one with ear flaps and I devoutly hope she did not
take it to college with her. That child has no vanity
whatsoever. Ashley got it all. My main conversations with Ashley are about make up.

I bought the dogs each a toy. Jose immediately grabbed
both of them and stored them in our bed. Rex doesn't
care because he is not into toys, just rowdy play.

You made it into a good day. All this about kids and I am picturing Jose.

It is time to clean garages and work in the yard to get rid of some of the pent up fury from the election. Jose is such a joy.

Donna makes hats and cloves and even a skirt for the grandkids (one gurl). They love the stuff although they manage to lose it. You could outfit an army of child soldiers at the lost and found in probably any school.

Glass blowing is something to watch. One of my collage colleagues did a presentation on it in Presentational Speaking and invited the class to visit her family's studio. It goes from simple to very artistic. I think you'll enjoy the experience a lot! Feel better!

I am really looking forward to the glass blowing and am going to encourage Ted to go with us. He is the artist in the family. Donna's
grandchildren are lucky!

Thank you Kristy. I have spent most of the day in bed and should be
better tomorrow. I had my super flu shot about a month ago.
