Goals Accomplished

Today has been my day to find lost things. I had misplaced
one of a pair of almost new boots and was joyful when I found
it in a guest closet. Who knew how it got in there but I suspect I kicked it in when the door bell rang so it wouldn't
look messy.

Ted lost some cash and it was no where to be found. I let it
go and then actively searched for it. He had stashed it in
his sock drawer for safe keeping.

I got my closet cleaned out and organized. I found a
container called a shoe carousel and it holds almost all
of my shoes. It is round and hangs up and is really great.
I got my shoes off the floor. I ordered this handy device
from the Walter Drake catalog.

The laundry is done and put away.

I hired someone to rake up all those pesky sweet gum balls.

I washed the car on our only warm day and cleaned it out.

We are having some cold days and I hate the cold but I can
probably get more done in the house since there is no
temptation to go out.

I "Googled" shoe carousel and have no idea what you might have, because the ones I saw look like they would take up my whole closet.

Just how many shoes does this shoe carousel hold? I think I might order three or four of them.

At least twenty pairs and I think more. I still have a few vacancies.
It really is strong.

Oh, what a wonderful feeling to find things you thought were lost, especially when it's just sort of in the back of your mind, not yet an emergency. Many times I have had dreams where I found something I was looking for, but they were never accurate. Nothing more disappointing than waking up all happy that the problem is solved, go to that place, only to be wrong again.

I have finding dreams too and they never come true. I also have lost dreams
that disturb me and when I wake up still anxious, I tell myself that it is
OK.

Ed has more of everything than I do. I put folded, laundered shirts in a plastic under-the-bed box and keep reminding him he has them. He has dress shirts he has resurrected because of his new guardian duties that involve court dates and we have 20 or so that need ironing and he is unwilling to have the local cleaners launder them since they do poor work and these are expensive shirts. There is NO Chinese laundry in SW Florida -- well, maybe in Naples, an hour or more away. I am not going to spend my life ironing dress shirts, assuming I could do a good job. Your diligence, as always impresses me. All our storage drawers are cluttered. I am not strong enough, lately, to tackle even one and by the time I would get around to "the next one", the first one is again a mess.

I hear you dear Teal. Ted is taking Wild Greens for energy. I can't take it
because it has grapefruit in it but he really thinks it helps. Who could
iron twenty shirts? Those days are long gone, maybe you can find an ironing
lady.

the sock drawer is my spot to keep my change seems everyone has a problem with storage for shoes , have a rack in our walkin robe but there is always a hunt just the same, would rather pay ten dollars at the car wash these days, you certainly have been a busy girl

Yes, the sock drawer seems to be the place, not that Ted has much to hide
since he has an allowance. I just pay bills with the rest.

Kudos to you! I have quite a to do list ahead of me, much homekeeping catching up to do, so I find inspiration in your accomplishments. Wish me luck!

I like to wash the car when it is pretty outside. It likes palmolive.

Donna needs something to hold all her shoes (that she doesn't need anyway). There a rack that hands behind a closet door, but even that isn't enough. Ugh...

A lady needs her shoes.

You might get this shoe carousel for Donna. It hangs up out out of the
way and holds so many shoes. It is nice to get them off the floor.
