The animals are my antidote to boredom. Rex has been longing to sit in my lap for a year. He caught me sitting on the floor and finally achieved it this afternoon. A one hundred pound dog is a lapfull.

China has been almost out of her expensive cat food and when I poured a satisfying amount into her bowl, she was estatic. I ran low yesterday and had to go to the Vet and get her some this morning.

It is a l00 degrees here and there is not much incentive to do anything. Oddly enough, I am thinking of making Chili tomorrow. We like it even when it is hot.
