Estate Sales and Thrift Stores

I love to browse in them. For instance, I was able to get a
queen size bed frame for Sara and it was one of those expensive ones that fold and don't have to be assembled. I
also got her a trendy looking lamp and new cushions for the
wicker chair and her rocking chair. I repainted the wicker
furniture and though I don't think she likes it, it is better
than the no chair and the long cardboard box they were
using for a coffee table. Goodwill was the source for the
bed frame and the cushions and the lamp.

I have long had a passion for flow blue and have found some
in garage sales and estate sales. It is always something to
look for although my china cabinet is bulging at the seams.
I have some of the old blue willow and have found that the
Japanese is brighter than the English although I suspect
that the English is more valuable.

Bobby shares my passion and was able to get an old church
pew from a military church with a brass plate on it for
almost nothing. He sold antiques and collectibles for a
while on E Bay. Linda is enthrall to new, probably from
having had to live with antiques.

Target donates their clearance items to Goodwill and I keep
hoping I will find a new in the box robo vacumn cleaner.
Bobby did and it has now worn out. They are great for quick
clean ups.

Donating to goodwill is better than what Dillards does, which is dump them. I know this because Holly worked there for three years.

I think that is terrible. Habitat for Humanity gets most of my donated
articles and think how they would love to get Dillards things.

That should be everyone's rule. Especially when it comes to clothing.

The thrill of finding antiques or just good deals is amazing. I love to
browse.

Would you like to come to my garage sale next Saturday?

Yes! yes!.

I'm thinking of inviting the renters and visitors to look around here for something they could use, like a free garage sale.

That is a splendid idea. I have access to curbside now for free items, not
good enough to donate.

You are a busy sort there girl.

Better to wear out than rust out. Or so I have always heard. I am so
thankful for my good health.

The browsing is fun, but I'm into downsizing, as plans are afoot to move into a smaller apartment. No more adding and acquiring for me. If something comes in, something has to go out!
