8 Days and Counting Down

We have been in a whirl of after school parties and band
concerts. It has been all Ellie and I can do to get the
kids to each of their functions. Adrienne has a beginner's
permit but she can't get her Driver's license until after
April fifteenth. Her friends pretty much have cars now
but she has not been allowed to ride with them.

Rex is not feeling well and I think the foam Christmas ornament that he stole and ate has a lot to do with it. He
isn't eating and he is lethargic. I hate to make a visit
to the Vet but will have to if he doesn't perk up today.

Ted is making necklaces for Christmas. He made three for
me, one amber, one the pretty light green jade and the
other just from beads and odds and ends. They are all
nice.

I got a great haircut yesterday. It is wispy and straight.
It just falls into place. It was a big ego boost because I
have been feeling and looking dowdy. It is amazing what a
new look will do for a woman.

I'm glad it was foam and not glass, and hope it worked its way out.

Rex has seemed a lot better today. He had a good run in the back yard and
ate well at noon. If he is not better, he will go to the vet tomorrow. I
went outside and played fetch with him.

Those are good signs, being active and eating. Like others said, it sounded like that foam got stuck in his digestive system. My rabbit once ate the polyester foam stuffing out of her toy and stopped eating entirely, and just lay down. The vet told me to give her mineral oil, and she was fine. Tough to get a rabbit to take it, though. I had to keep putting it on her paws and even her head so she'd lick it off.

I think that you should take Rex to the VET.some of those foam could be poison with all the chemical they put in them.Would not hurt to call the Vet for advice.

He is feisty this morning so all is well.

I'm not a fan of making suggestions, but if one of the boys ate something that odd I'd at least be calling the vet. I can picture that crap getting stuck in the digestive track. It's not biodegradable and likely not digestable. On a personal note, I'm logged in and commenting with my droid. Old dogs can learn new tricks!
