This is a cliche but how else do you say it? It thundered and the lightening lit up the night sky, while I groped around with a flashlight trying to make drip coffee without a dripolater. Do you remember dripolaters? June has hung on to a battered old aluminum one from the 50's and it does come in handy when you have a power outage.
I kept turning on lights, out of habit with no results. We have cancelled all of our plans for the day because we have been warned that more storms with hail are on the way. I put Bouncer and Rex in. All three of the dogs are frightened of storms. Sassy is just a little girl dog and she prefers to stay in the house all of the time. Rex can't stand to miss anything that might be going on out of doors but I guess he will just have to suffer. He is in until it stops and the sun peeks out of the clouds.
Texastar is probably having the same kind of weather we are.
These violent storms will probably continue until the middle of June.
That's the news from tornado alley.
