First of all, let me say that a lot of people in Oklahoma have an interest in oil wells. That is the pay to an owner of oil royalty is 1/8 of what the oil company rakes in. The oil companies have 20 plus ways of putting the shaft to the landowner.
My sister and I own an interest in a small oil well. Sheridan Production Company recently bought it. They are operating on our money and that of other royalty owners and refusing to pay until the 90 days that they can stall is up.
The Corporation Commission says they must pay in 90 days.
Our checks are never a lot but multipled many times by many owners it is a good chunk of change. This company has repeatedly lied to my sister and I about when they will mail the checks. We are just talking ab out a little over l,000 dollars each but it is important to us, and makes our retirement a lot more pleasant than it would other wise be.
Oil is at a record high and a lot of us who own the interest in the wells are sitting here waiting for the greedy pigs to turn loose of a small portion of the money they owe us.
Just thought I would let you know about this. . Jeri
