Automatic Cars

Computerized cars are now legal in Nevada and California but
there must be a human in them in case of emergency. The only
accident so far has been when a human took over and there
has just been the one.

I don't quite know how I would like it but I think it would
be wonderful for beginning drivers and for the elderly. I
hadn't gotten past the place of longing for a car that
parallel parks itself and has a back up camera in it.

Supposedly there will no longer be gridlock because these
cars communicate with one another The disabled and the
oldies like me won't have to stop driving. How cool is
that!

Maybe I will just save up for one.

I hope those cars in Nevada have pedestrian-avoidance systems built in - every week a couple of people get mowed down by cars, some of them are supposedly safely up on the sidewalk or in their yard, and it's usually hit and run.

I had no idea that these were in the making! Very cool. It cracked me up to read that the only accident these cars had was when the human took over. Typical, right?

Don't they sound wonderful. They are on the road in these two states.

I'm too much of a control freak. I won't even use my cruise control.

I would gladly let them have their way with me.

That's pretty cool! I'd love to have one for long journeys. I'm always envious of my daughter, who gets to nap while I drive.

Just think how good it would be in city traffic.

I can see all sorts of convenience in having one. You could eventually just
send your car on errands.

Remember, the only accident happened when the human took over.
