All's Well That Ends Well.

My plumbing problem was solved with little expense and a
total minimum of destruction. I was so afraid that we would
need to tear up tile but they went in under the bath room
vanity which required a lot of contortions. They didn't
track in stuff on the carpet and I was pleased and shocked
at how little they charged, so much so in fact that I wrote
a note complimenting them to the owner, Mr. Wiggy. I know
him because he has solved more than one rent house crisis
for me.

Ted has some new medicine and he felt well enough to go
to Adrienne's band concert last night. She got her two
year letter and an award for being an outstanding band
member. Her friend, Erika got one more award than she
did which I am sure is eating at Adrienne. They are best
friends and very competitive with each other.

We were very sad that the Assistant band director had to
be let go because of cuts to education. He loved the kids
and they loved him. He teared up making his farewell speech
and the kids and parents gave him a gift and a standing
ovation. That is the human side to all these cuts. People
are deeply hurt.

Have a good weekend.

Good news on the plumbing! It's nice to have pleasant surprises...

I just told Mr. YouKnow about the plumbing repair, and he sends his sympathies and congrats on getting it fixed.

The cervical vertebra and the lumbar vertebra are misaligned and so his neck and back have a lot of pain.

I am so pleased with what the school district of Bailey and Kenzie's school did in order to keep from cutting teachers. Instead, the district let five assistant superintendents go. It is going to save the district over half a million dollars. You would be amazed at how top heavy school districts are with ass't principals, ass't superintendents, counselors etc. A lot of our shcool's financial problems could be solved by getting rid of all these superflous posts that one or two people can adequately handle.

Yes, their salaries are way higher than teacher's salaries. They have
two asst. principals and they could let one go.

So much of the Arts is being cut everywhere. It is such a shame.

I hate to see this too. It enriches children to do hands on arts projects
and music is wonderful for them.

I concur with marta.

I do too. I find it very difficult to see three people in administration and the music teacher is let go.

So good to hear that Ted is feeling better! And glad that your plumbing problem was solved without breaking the bank. Kudos to Mr. Wiggy's team! Breaks my heart when I hear of talented teachers, often at the beginning of their careers, losing their jobs due to myopic education budget cuts. We as a culture and society will lose a generation of teachers at this rate, and our students will be shortchanged for the rest of their lives. Craziness!!

It is wonderful that Ted can get out a little. He has been absolutely
shut in for weeks.

Mr. Wiggy? Love it.
Sometimes women I have considered friends became competitive. I have never understood that nor welcomed it. Glad Ted might have a medicine that really helps him. Did you ever get a diagnosis?
