Winter Storm

It came in quietly, overnight. The weather channels couldn't even say what you'd get; they offered 3 "models" -- and most of Pittsburgh happened to be sitting in an area right in the center where all three general regions of prediction touched. Each region had a different projected amount of snowfall: 1-3 inches, 5-7, and the third was farther east and I can't remember it but it was the highest.

And we're supposed to get another 1-3 inches today. Wonder how they're managing in New York, where over a foot and a half was expected.

A big snow is gorgeous but like many beautiful people one soon tires of it.

And people ask me if I miss not having 4 seasons--NO I DON'T!

Here in Colorado we're all wishing we had gotten more snow this past winter to put more moisture into the forests. Our snowiest months are supposed to be March and April, and so far we've only gotten 2 inches in March. Last spring was similar, and we got a big snowstorm in late May, so that's what we're hoping for -- but without the snow-caused power outages.
