Voting

If you plan to vote by mail, you should check your state's .gov page to see the cut-off date your ballot has to reach the elections offices to be counted. For PA, it's October 27th. But some are saying everybody should consider it Oct. 20th instead for safety, due to mail delays.

I'm starting to get messages by phone about mail balloting, and I can't verify the authenticity of the texts, so can't respond to those, but one did give a true link to PA's Voting Information page, where I can apply for a mail ballot.

I can see the 2020 election counts being broken down by the current administration to: this many 'real' ballots, this many 'mail' ballots. And just as bad as any real tampering by Trump's organization might be is the fear of it, and all the hype from both sides. My right wing friends love to point out that voting in person is the same as shopping at Walmart - but standing in line at the polls for hours in November is not the same as ducking in to the store for 15 minutes to pick up a bag of rice.

I dropped off Donna's application for absentee ballot on Friday. We'll be sending our votes back the day after we receive the ballot. Shouldn't matter too much in NY but I want every vote against the Orange Maggot to make an impression on him (even tho he'll say it's fixed).

I am going to vote in person if I am still around. I want my vote to be counted and I will go to the polls no matter what. We must remove this corrupt administration. the last time I voted I went wearing a mask and it was not too bad.

The same thought has crossed my mind and I am considering going in person. I want my vote counted, and he's too apt to do things to the post office.

We haven't gotten ours yet for the presidential race---which we already know will be the HUGEST fraud ever---just ask the president!!

I wish he would delay and delay and delay the election because according to the constitution he (and Pence) were only elected to January 20 then they would have to egt out and the Speaker of the House (Well Hello Nancy!) has to become the president!!!

I'm hoping the ballots will get mailed out with enough lead time, can picture the post offices being told to sit on them as long as possible. In the past, our local PO has done that for local elections, and it wasn't even on order by the President of the US.

That's horrible to know about. And now that a big Trump donor is the postmaster general, and he has recently put a stop to all overtime, mail delays are increasing greatly. Just think what this guy'll do to the election mailings.
