Heartbleed Effects

Sedo.com, which if you don't know of them is a major domain name marketing and auction house, seems to still be affected by the Heartbleed attack. They were hacked last week I know, but although their main site looks okay, some domains I just parked with them are ***ed up.

Local Sedo offices were closed all weekend and they just came back to work today. And our account was activated today and the pages were supposed to go live. But instead of a parked page with related links, some random page comes up, sometimes Pizza Hut, sometimes DirectTV, other times a Mac Cleaner page. Someone is redirecting the traffic. This is not good. I can't reach Sedo yet.

I hate these computer infections. I finally got rid of the ones on my
computer and now I have a little Asian calling me and wanting to talk to
me about my computer. I promptly told him my computer was none of his
business and hung up but I suspect he hacked in and got my phone number
before my computer was fixed. I think the virus got into the Zulily site
also. It was a favorite of mine and now I am afraid to go there.

I wouldn't, not yet. The site LastPass ( https://lastpass.com/heartbleed/ ) says Zulilly doesn't seem to have updated their security certificates, the SSL things. Every site with a https page should have updated it. It's crazy.

I emailed the Rotary Club of Estes Park about the upcoming duck race, and the email was redirected to some bad address of a MIT alumni organization.

MIT? makes me wonder.

I have been lucky for years, since switching to macs. But I remember the horrible viruses..

Not sure what all that means, but it doesn't sound good.

Turns out I was all wrong -- it was a different method Sedo is using. No hacker at all.
