Gwb Library

The Guardian.co.uk had a blogpost asking readers about the GW Bush Library -- "What should be in there? What books should be on the shelves?"

Stating the query in two separate sentences is appropriate. My answer to the first one is, FBI agents with warrants for Bush's arrest.

The second question is irrelevant. No one who visits this building believing it is a worthwhile structure is interested in reading or learning anything.

But if it serves any purpose as a monument to the man's disgrace, which is important to examine for the future of this country, how about the Torture Memos?

I just saw a photo of all the past living presidents there at the library opening. Yuck. I hate seeing Jimmy Carter -- whom I respect -- ever standing near that piece of trash Bush.

I truly believe his conscience is bothering him for this terrible war. I
hope so.

Look he was President of the USA for 8 years--obviously a number of other Americans (including a few of the Supreme Court) liked him enough to vote him in (at least once legally)--he has been out of office for 6 years--if you want Obama to get respect then stop bashing Bush--ignore him because you know as well as I do Obama will be blamed for everything the next 10 years--don't go to the library--ignore him.

Obama has already proven that he is above the political execution of Bush because he declined to pursue an investigation into the war decision. The result might well have been prison for Bush. It appears we still need to hang together as a country by not going after presidents, but, you wait, the Republicans will be inventing reasons to go after Obama years after he is gone from political life.

I don't care about Obama. I detest the idea of an elected official who gave torture legal standing running about getting accolades.

It's discouraging to see stupidity rewarded, isn't it? He will always represent the dumbing down of the Republican party to me.

Dubya and library in the same sentence seems kind of counterintuitive, doesn't it? I have to admit that just seeing his photograph causes me to gag reflectively. He has to be the worst-- THE WORST!! -- president that this country has ever suffered. I have yet to comprehend how the voters could have given him a second term. What a dangerous imbecile.

the voters had help from a politically compromised Supreme Court. Along with GWB, the Court of that time was a disgrace. With any luck, Obama can bring it back to center and reason.
