Cicadas!

I have never felt anything for insects before, and in fact dread seeing the cicadas in my neighborhood that start up their noise in the hottest part of July, but now I feel very moved about the 17-year locusts.

Thanks for the reminder to visit the Huffington Post site. It entertained me for hours - emailed that picture "The Moment He Realized He Is the Middle Child" to all my friends, looked at the long list of Creepiest Places in the World, and spent many happy minutes finding some of them on Google Maps and reading about them in Wikipedia.
