I know. I went MIA again. Part of it was overwhelmed with first of the year Auxiliary stuff, but part of it has been something else. I have had several urgent medical appointments at the VA, as many as two a week with a disturbing r/o diagnosis. I'm afraid explaining may be TMI, but here it goes anyway.
Today was my birthday and the day started with another early appointment at the VA. I was there for a cystoscopy but they could not insert the catheter because there is a "growth" in my urethra. (No wonder I have extreme difficulty voiding!) They rescheduled the cystoscopy for Feb. 27th when they can anesthetize me. The reason they wanted to do the cystoscopy to begin with was to r/o bladder cancer. While they will do a biopsy on the growth, it does not appear to be a tumor but a caruncle, a common lesion in post-menopausal women.
Leaving the VA, I hit a curb (the whole place is under construction)and blew out a tire. I stopped to call AAA and locked my keys in my car to boot! Three and a half hours and $150 later I finally arrived back home and took a siesta.
I would like a do-over of my birthday, please. This one was no fun at all!
