Hi Guys!

Thanks to Jeri, I found all of you again. I see many of you on FB and follow you there. I see that some of my favorite bloggers on this site either no longer post or post infrequently. I will try to come back here at least every couple of weeks because this site- and with you my friends is where I can post more intimate thoughts and feelings.
I am still painting. This year, I switched my focus to watercolor and pastels because storing all of the canvasses from oils and acrylics got to be a problem. Paper is much easier to store! One two-inch deep box will hold many, many completed works when all I have to store is paper! The pastel box will fill up sooner because I put a sheet of glassine paper between each painting to help protect the pastels.
Earlier this year, I gave away about 50 of my oils and acrylics. I donated them to be auctioned off at a fund raiser. Of course, I kept all of the ones I liked best. They simply took up too much space! I don't know how many watercolor and pastel paintings I completed this year, but it is a lot. Guess I am making up for lost time because I let my painting slack off and almost stopped all together. Now, I am painting and learning again. One of the things I am trying to learn is how to paint with very little detail.

Lovely. It seems to me watercolor would be so much harder to do than oil or acrylic.

Every artist's style is so different even when they think they don't have a style. Kind of like handwriting, I suppose.
