Everything Turned Out Ok

All that worrying about K being at my grandson's party was for naught. I pretty much ignored her except for 'group' conversations and was even able to gloat a little. I have two beautiful grandsons- and I even managed to mention that I published my book. She told everyone how good it was and that she read it three times (true- she did).

I manage to get all worked up over the stupidest things! I guess I can carry a grudge as well as anybody. We will never again be friends, but I think at the party I realized how little she mattered.

My grandsons are beautiful! I am having a wonderful time and will write more when I can. Oh, the bottom picture is my son making cream filled cup cakes and a chocolate birthday cake for Rowan.

Come on, anyone can get over "anything." I had one ex-dil that littlerly picked me up and shook me and I finally got over that. After not speaking to me - her choice - for about 6 years, all finally came together at a son's wedding. She just had to forget and maybe forgive. (I was not guilty of the thing she shook me for. ha!!!! ) NOw, she takes me out to eat.

Happily, she is not family so I don't feel a need to 'get over it'.

I will second (third? fourth?) the relief.Of course, how can anyone worry about anything when they are in the presence of such beautiful children?! They are absolutely gorgeous! My uterus cramped a little when I looked at the first picture....oh to hold something so small again.

...and, they were only here one lousy afternoon out of a 7 day visit.

Oh boy, I am just like you. I seem to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Glad everything worked out ok. Your pictures are perfect.

I used a new lens I bought recently and I love how the portrait shots come out.

It's the new lens- not the photographer.

I relieved for you. Sometimes the positive spirit of a lovely family occasion, especially when children are involved, carries everyone along.

I got really worked up over her being there before I left for PA. By the time of the party, I started out a little apprehensive but even that went away quickly. Turns out it was much to do about nothing.

We all worry about things that turn out OK. I think it is part of being human. I am glad that it turned out to be a pretty good party for you! I know how much you love your family, and you want to be able to enjoy them!
