The Idiots Are at it Again!

Bill Passed to Require Proof of Citizenship
By Ashley Loera Published: April 18, 2011
The Arizona State Legislature approved a bill Thursday that would require presidential candidates to prove they are American citizens before they are put on the ballot.
The measure arises amidst the current controversy over President Barack Obama’s birth certificate and its legitimacy. Critics contend Obama was born in his father’s home country of Kenya simply because the document does not list the doctor and hospital’s name.
The legislation, if signed by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, would keep Obama off the ballots in Arizona for the presidential race of 2012. Fourteen other states are considering similar legislation this year, according to a senior fellow with the National Conference of State Legislature.
Donald Trump is a big supporter of the bill, as he has been making headlines recently asking for additional proof of Obama’s birthplace. Trump is also a possible Republican candidate in the 2012 presidential election.

What idiots! I just cannot believe this kind of garbage becomes law. The first copy of my birth certificate from the state of California had a signature on it, I believe it may have been the doctor's who verified my birth. Years later, I lost that and had to request a new birth certificate. By that time, California, like many states, had entered their births into a data base. The new birth certificate issued to me was a standardized form just like this one from Hawaii with no signatures or seals. Guess that means I cannot run for President. Worse yet, I cannot prove that I am a citizen because my mother was a German national, and like Obama, I was a dual national for many years. The lunatic fringe is alive and well and continuing to harm countless of innocent citizens like myself who can no longer prove citizenship.

When I was "AWOL" to Utah, I found (not surprisingly enough) that I didn't miss any of this so-called news. When I returned, it was the same ol', same ol'. I'm seriously considering dumping DISH network--maybe my whole television set!

One would think that people could see that people like Palin and Trump who
rejoice in celebrity are nothing but empty jugs filled with ego. I can't
see how a reasoning person could believe in their hearts that they are
capable of leadership.

The Governor in AZ vetoed the bill. It amazes me how "birthers" keep going on about this when it has been conclusively proven that he was born in Hawaii. Flat-Earthers is a better term for them since they refuse to believe anything unless it is announced on Fox News.

Good to hear. There is so much more to worry about like the economy and the jobless rate. I think they have made clear where their priorities lie.

So many more important things for politicians to worry about, and they keep digging this up. What really infuriates me are the people who say (in this little whiny voice) "well, I voted for Obama, but he hasn't done anything, so I'm not going to vote for him again." As if any Democrat would have been able to accomplish much with all the opposition from the other party.

They choose to remain ignorant. Obama has been responsible for may reforms.

Utterly idiotic! I hope this law will be struck down in the courts.

See jondude's comment. Apparently, it was vetoed. We don't need idiotic laws like this.

This just seems to be totally insane. I am not sure how people can get away with this sort of thing without getting in trouble for libel.
It does seem to work with some of the electorate. Look how well Donald Trump is doing??? *shivers*
