Start with the good stuff. On Sunday we went out to the in-law's cabin for the first time of the season.
I went for a run. Up the hill, along the top of the hill (which is the picture below), down the hill, to the spring at the far end of the village, back around the houses at the other far end of the village, and then I did it again for a total run of 59 minutes. :) It was very windy and cool and beautiful day.
And then I got hassled by the in-laws. One wanted to send me to this equestrian show for my birthday. I said no thanks, and she couldn't just accept it and wanted to know WHY don't you want to go, but DON'T you WANT to see the pretty HORSIES? Now, DH has informed me that she wants to send me on a tourist trail ride. Sigh. I HAVE horses, I can RIDE, trail rides for the tourists are BORING. I'm going to get hassled again when I don't want to do that either.
Then at supper, MIL made steamed broccoli, white rice and somebody BBQed chicken (until it was as tough as wood). I got a plate of broccoli and chicken, and MIL asks if I didn't see the rice. I say something like I don't want rice. Why not? I don't eat white rice. WHY? It's not good for you. WHY? What kind of rice do you eat?? I'm getting pissed at this point, it's just freaking rice.
For dessert, she served us badly made cookies with cat hair in them. :P
At least there was wine. Wine is good. Wine makes things better.
