If you are having a good Easter, don't read any farther.

Because I'm having a bad easter (well, of course).

I'm sick. Really sick. A cold type illness, with aching legs thrown in just for fun.

And DH is sick, and DS has a cold, which means snot all over everything he touches, and kleenex on the ground everywhere.

I bought all the easter stuff for the kids. I stuffed the plastic easter eggs with candy. I put out a few of the items, and DH hid the rest.

I wake up suddenly this morning, from my terrible sick sleep (horrible sore throat all night long, my head propped up so I can breathe). It's just before 7am, and something tells me to jump up and get downstairs.

And it's over. DH and the kids did the easter egg hunt already.

So I did all the work, and he got all the glory.

Which was just like Christmas when I did all the gifts, put everything out, and woke up at 8am to find everyone already downstairs.
