Tomorrow is the kid's last day of school. (sigh)
I do get a bit of a break right away though - Wednesday my mom takes the kids while I'm at work, and then Friday is a holiday so DH will be home.

I've gone running twice with K in the past week. The first time we ran the 11.2k race route. It was great because even though she needed some walk breaks, we pushed each other to run faster than I normally do. We ran again this morning, for about 10k down the irrigation canal pathway. As it turns out, I really do enjoy running with another person. Only 13 days until the 10k race we are entered in!

I found an interesting bug the other day. It's about 1.5" long, brown, 6 legs, stinger on one end, pinchers on the other. I put it in a jar, and then next morning it had moulted as it is now white! I've determined that is an earwig. Never saw one before! It's very creepy looking.

I'm making the most of my last few days of school. I did a little shopping today for myself, tomorrow I'll run in the morning then go to Zumba, then do a few little other errands and head home.

My neighbour who had surgery is doing really well. She's good enough to drive and walk and poke around in the green house, but I'm still popping over at least once a day to water. She's giving me free eggs for the help. :)
