I know a place in Coventry, CT where the folks are really friendly too, especially to people in need. Come on up!

Seems to me when the word "catastrophic" is used to describe an act of nature you'd want to make sure you were nowhere in the area when it occurredSo why did they stay, and are these people going to start complaining because they didn't get rescued in a timely fashion

I tuned in to KPLC out of Lake Charles, and saw some amazing pictures..got some bad flooding and damage. Those folks who didn't leave out of Galveston were in for a bad ride.

Georgia is waiting with opened arms and a warm bed, sweet iced tea and a plate of grits.

Those people in Galveston must be crazy!

I just read that it is estimated that 40% of Galveston's population didn't evacuate. That is thousands of people. All that can be done now is to pray and wait.

keeping them in my prayers for sure! that is one scary storm that is going to hit.

The people in mandatory evacuation areas were told this morning that if they remain they "will face certain death." Not only that but if they expect help or rescue, they will be putting the responders' lives in jeopardy.
