I hadn't thought of it like that, but I can identify with that feeling that we lose ourselves and become whatever it is that other expect us to be.
It sounds wonderful.
When it's cold in winter anyway, coming out of a meeting at 4 pm into the dark makes it seem all that much colder.
I was going to say your Thanksgiving reunion sounds like fun, and I mean that, but also a lot of work, so I hope you get folks to bring a dish. I always enjoy preparing the meal, and marvel at how quickly it's done with, but then there is the visiting. And the second meal later that is more of a snack.
It looks a lot better now that the staples are out, and I hope it gets to feeling better soon.
Oh, for goodness sake! Is that staples? Are they going to be removed, or will they fall out? Yikes!

Along the Interstates out in the wide open spaces of places like Wyoming and Utah, there are fences and every so often zig-zag type openings or other structures that look like they are meant to facilitate the movement of wildlife. I've always wondered who is going to teach the wildlife how to use them. It could be that they come to the fence and run along it until the gate sucks them in and turns them to cross through the fence and go on their way.
I'm in one of those states where they tried to tighten the gun laws by passing legislation limit the number of bullets in an automatic weapon and the sheriffs from various counties including mine sued the state and the legislators who sponsored the bill were run out of office. I hate it.
I'm glad it worked out. I would have done the same. Like John said, it's how YOU feel, not what anyone else thinks about it.
We're finally getting overnight lows close to freezing, and I can't decide whether to bring in the hanging flower pots or let those petunias go to their reward in petunia heaven.
I joined a church one time for what I thought was going to be the music, but they were modern, and did more of what is called 'seven-eleven songs:' seven words repeated eleven times. I wasn't the only one who didn't like it.
Do restaurants do groupons because they are struggling to bring in business? If so, there must be places where you go and say 'no wonder there's a groupon for this place.'
