A Whirlwind -- Not

Ed did his get-home-fast number and left the seminar a day early, so he was home by yesterday noon (he drives like a maniac) instead of tonight. But he got the points he needed to maintain his guardian license.

He said he didn’t much enjoy the experience, the things he learned were minor, the people were so-so, the food was expensive. He is happy to be home. And he actually unpacked his travel case instead of letting it sit in the corner of the bedroom until Christmas. I helped.

So things are back to “normal” and later today his student is coming to be tutored on a test she must take. He got her when he was teaching English as a second language for the volunteer literacy program and their association has expanded so that he is teaching her what she needs to know to get her nursing license. She is from Lithuania, and I like her a lot.

As for me, I didn’t do any laundry that I had planned, but I did get some writing done. I walked some, biked some, and had breakfast coffee with my friend, Kathy, who had to close her store because she didn’t have enough business. She was down the road from the other shops and people just overlooked her. Turns out she is allergic to cats so we sat outside on the pool deck. And I cleared up some clutter. In times past I would have been a whirlwind.

xx, Teal

I couldn't do anything yesterday it was pouring so hard so stayed in and got caught up on a lot of paper work--I have notes and lists of things to do all over the place--I did 1) Make a nice pile of the notes and lists and 2)made it one big list!!!!!

We are getting rain lately throughout the day an hour of sun, then rain, then sun, then rain. It's hard to know when you can leave the house.

We're in a monsoon pattern for rain, so although it's hot and hardly a cloud in the sky just this minute, by the time I did a load of laundry, rain clouds would loom and rain would follow. Not complaining because we need the moisture. I like to dry the sheets and towels outdoors to save electric, but the towels come out scratchy, and I see people complaining about this at other rental cabin businesses, so some of our guests might think the same, but they would never say. Usually, there is a mixture of scratchy and not-scratchy towels available, so they can choose which they like. Hugs to you.

If we ever get to your cabins, we will want unscratchy towels.
