Ed did his get-home-fast number and left the seminar a day early, so he was home by yesterday noon (he drives like a maniac) instead of tonight. But he got the points he needed to maintain his guardian license.
He said he didn’t much enjoy the experience, the things he learned were minor, the people were so-so, the food was expensive. He is happy to be home. And he actually unpacked his travel case instead of letting it sit in the corner of the bedroom until Christmas. I helped.
So things are back to “normal†and later today his student is coming to be tutored on a test she must take. He got her when he was teaching English as a second language for the volunteer literacy program and their association has expanded so that he is teaching her what she needs to know to get her nursing license. She is from Lithuania, and I like her a lot.
As for me, I didn’t do any laundry that I had planned, but I did get some writing done. I walked some, biked some, and had breakfast coffee with my friend, Kathy, who had to close her store because she didn’t have enough business. She was down the road from the other shops and people just overlooked her. Turns out she is allergic to cats so we sat outside on the pool deck. And I cleared up some clutter. In times past I would have been a whirlwind.
