I did not have a glorious young adulthood, but I miss being at the threshold of my life. You only get one whack at it. I did okay, but just by a hair. And then there was Jay ....

Rex is adorable, spoiled, but adorable. Naw, he wouldn't vote Republican. Republicans don't believe in free kibble.

I have lost about six cats since moving to Florida in 2003. None have lived past 14. It isn't easy and I am always thinking of each one and how special each was. The only consolation is that we loved them to pieces and they knew it.

I just picked up stuff at my cleaners and the woman who runs the shop just adopted a kitten and she brought him out - he's a month old and looks exactly like Beau. Very sweet. I gave him a cuddle.

How great to be friends with these remarkable birds.

It's great when you have people you trust taking care of things for you. Rex is adorable, if "high maintenance". So glad you had a nice time. I attended a camp on Lake Geneva when I was about 13. It was indeed lovely.

What does an omelet maker look like. I make omelets and a lot of the time they come out more "scrambled with ..."

I remember a pie at the day-old bakery was 25 cents. You could get cool in Chicago scorching summer heat by grabbing ice shards off the back of an ice truck. There were street entertainers with trainer chickens (they said). Small crowds would gather. Scary stuff to do was to sneak into the rear courtyard of the local medical school, the College of Chiropractors, and stare into the basement windows where the cadavers were. There were Saturday serials at the local movie houses. I remember Spider Man. Charles Starrett was my cowboy hero. There was Flash Gordon and the theme music was Lizst's Les Preludes. I loved classical music the minute I heard it.

I did not know her, but it is sad to lose a friend. My condolences.

thanks for your viewpoint ... The dye is cast. We either elect Hillary or endure Trump, who would be a disaster. I think most of on this blog would agree on that. The Republicans were so outraged that the FBI decided not to pursue charges that they launched an investigation into the FBI director. I listened to most of it this morning. Director Comey is a man with apparently an excellent reputation. I don't think they'll get anywhere with it.

But not to vote, or to write in Bernie, or to vote for another 3rd party name on the ballot is a vote for Trump. The voter makes his point, siphons votes away from the only person who can succeed, and gives it to her opponent, a certified lunatic. That's self dest
ruction.

I've been through the computer wars. Everything working well now, fingers stay crossed. So nice to have a lovely evening including Ted. Cherish the moments.

I'd love to get rid of everything in the garage, which now resembles a third world slum, but Ed wants to keep everything.

This is a charming painting. Be happy to have it back. Personally, I would have made room for it.
