Last night, I took up residence in the guest room at
three p.m. and intended to spend the evening undisturbed
by anyone. I loved every minute of the convention from
the incredibley lovely rendering of the national anthem
by a fourteen year old boy to the conclusion. Senator
Cory Booker's speech just blew me away. He is a man to
watch. In fact, I see dissension as part of the democratic
process and it is not a bad thing as long as we all come
together in the end.
Rex is used to having Ted and I together, watching a
movie in the family room. He goes to sleep with his
nose on the air conditioner vent. He is a creature of
routine. Last night was different and he went back and
forth between us, unable to settle down. When I got
up to go in the kitchen, he had raided the waste basket
and he had strewed paper all over the dining room floor.
This is how he expresses his displeasure.
BTW I bought an air fryer yesterday on Dottie's recommendation and I can hardly wait to get it. I love
fried squash. I will let you know how I like it. I
ordered it from Amazon.
Rex will have to chill this week and his expectations
will have to be placed on hold. He is one spoiled
puppy!
