your title had me worried -- it's only stuff you can handle. People worries are another story. If you can afford a new refrigerator (my fave is side by side with ice and water in the door) get one. You will be happy you did.
Everyone associated with Trump is realizing they are at risk of being deposed by the special counsel, so they are bailing out.
The longest we were without power was during hurricane Charley. We then bought a generator but haven't had to use it since, and although we evacuated during Irma, we learned we never lost power during that event. But through the year we will have smaller power outages -- a bird flies into the works or something. I feel sorrier for the bird. But we are not really rural -- boonie-like but not rural.
When I first posted this, the photo I included was in the result, but it isn't any more. I am technically challenged.
I will try this -- but is it okay to not add whipping cream?
You are a marvel. I wish you the best and hope you have a lovely day with family and friends. Also wish I could be there. xx, T
I'm with Jeri on this one. The power of positive thinking can work miracles.
I'm way behind the curve on using smart phones, but I got one for Ed and I would like some of its advantages, so maybe I'll piggyback on the plan I got for him with Verizon. I wish the world wasn't so fast that I find it hard to catch up. Sorry you got trapped into a bad situation. Ed has a Samsung, luckily not the model that was blowing up. And it was about $200.
I went to Pittsburgh with a boyfriend in 1951. His parents lived at 2647 S. 18th St. and how's that for a memory. I sense there have been great changes since those days. The boyfriend didn't work out, which, actually, was a good thing.
excuse my ignorance, but downtown where? I grew up in Chicago, lived a good many years in NYC, loved every minute of big city living, miss it like crazy. Enjoy the beauty of my little Florida island and the wildlife, but I want intellect, not just from a few friends but from the waiter, the guy who sweeps, etc.
So you got something out of it ... yay for sis. Sorry you can't afford to see things for yourself. My wish for you: a positive change of fortune.
I don't know your problem, but deep breathing, an effort to let all physical tension go will help a lot. Let us know how you are.
We don't have basements in Florida. They tend to flood during hurricanes. We have a crawl space in the attic. It had no flooring, so we had a handyman floor half of it and use that for storage and I am the designated crawl space person because I can maneuver between the support beams, what with being small and flexible. Oh, joy. Florida houses have no basements because of the tendency to floods. When we have an AC problem, we can get leaks in the garage. It's always sumpin'.
Hi, I went into the message center just now and was able to type you a message and it appears as sent. Please see if you got a message and if you didn't, then the problem may be within your computer. xx, T
I tried a local outfit that prepares heart-healthy meals. We'd meet halfway so I could get the several I ordered. (They don't quite deliver to my island.) Then I tried an on-line outfit, and those meals were marginal too. And there were little add-ons -- apple sauce, packets of this or that, that accumulated and I threw out eventually. So I am back to my usual shopping, cooking, and trying to keep Ed from eating too much meat, which ain't easy because I can't control his lunches. And I'll suggest a fish entre and he'll say, yeah, okay, but he's not happy.
