We were told by the shelter manager that he would have to be watched and treated aggressively if he got sick because his immune system wasn't going to help him much. He has lost weight, his fur is not full, he has a skin infection that has to be treated, but is acting normally, is affectionate, wakes me up to walk on my stomach, not hiding, eager to go out to the pool area, eating normally. We love our Ziggy.
sorry there is a financial consideration stopping you from telling your sister to f off. Can you tell her kindly that you find her endless curiosity troublesome. Ask her if she thinks her money means she owns you. Well, I guess you can't do that. Is her financial assistance worth it?
please look into a non lethal solution for getting rid of the groundhogs. are they destructive. can't you live and let live? If not, then please find another way.
What a downer. Hope you get through this soon. Happy birthday from afar.
P.S. for some of the better items, she could try E Bay. Or take the items to an antique store and see if they'll take them.
I had a sale of items from my New York loft when I gave it up to move in with Ed. My friend, Lila, genius merchandiser, did all the work with help from her industry friends. What a crew. A few hundred dollars, but what a lot of effort. Our garage here is a third world country. It won't get done because Ed doesn't want to get rid of anything.
We were poor, but my sis and I did not have to endure the hardships you did. We just didn't have luxuries and mom robbed my piggy bank once to help pay the rent. However, I never felt poor, unless it was to wonder how come I didn't get to ride horses like the kids I saw in Lincoln Park. I am not talking 5 cents for the escorted pony rides around a small ring, but big horses on park trails. And I was never hungry. I look back on my childhood with love.
I'd like to replace the dead twigs in our two planters and need to buy replacement blooms from Home Depot. I am thinking of plumbago, a blue flowered bush that needs no tending. If planted in the ground, it will spread, but it won't go anywhere in the planter. Now, if I could just get to this project.
Is the pitcher one of yours?
I am in awe of your gardening skills. A friend, now gone, gave me a tomato plant a while back. He told me how to care for it, I was very careful and it died anyway. I don't know what wilted lettuce is. Do you buy regular lettuce and snarl at it? And it wilts under your withering gaze?
Ms.Jeri, part of the social elite! Glad you like your new fridge. Yes, it's good to have a spare in the garage for the overflow, esp. during holidays.
thanks for info, will use your links.
these are great
Most of what you explain is a mystery to me, but I do get that huge internet companies are a mess. And I also get annoyed when a search gives me stuff I did not ask for. I tried to find out how to use DMSO recently, and the only site that will (supposedly) tell you requires a download. I don't download anything if I can help it. FYI, this is a product that is supposed to reduce arthritic pain. It came without any literature, and the label on the bottle says not for human use, and don't use it on your skin. !!!?? Also, the provider was a veterinarian supply company, and all the reviews on Amazon raved about it. WTF?
I have our old fridge in the garage -- it isn't perfect, but it's okay for keeping soda and beer cold, the stuff that takes up space and you don't use a lot of. At least in our house.
