I am still struggling with health issues and have tests coming up, but can’t see a cardiologist referral until Dec. 3. I am not exercising as much because my heart rate spikes for no reason. I have always had excellent heart results so this is a mystery. It is depressing to be so compromised.

We did go out to dinner last night to the Tarpon Lodge in Pineland on Pine Island, my favorite place. It is on a secluded part of the bay, huge lawn with a gazebo, dock space for large boats, high-end accommodations, spectacular views, excellent restaurant. The road leading to it is narrow and winding and very rural. (Was no chip, as my mom would say.)

The occasion was a visit from the Trustee of one of Ed’s wards who is a major problem. Ed has resigned as guardian, encouraged by the Trustee, a cousin of the ward, because they are cutting the purse strings down. But Ed is obligated to transfer the ward to another guardian before he is free and clear.

The Trustee visited his cousin, and told him the family trust would no longer pay $500 a week for downloaded porn and the next time he orders from a porn site, the TV goes. Also, he can’t have tantrums and call 911, creating legal nightmares, the next time he doesn’t get what he wants. Basically, what he wants is to live in a high-end hotel with total freedom including hot-and-cold-running prostitutes, and have the family pay for everything. He wound up where he is because he picked up a hooker, invited her home, she brought her boyfriend, they made him a prisoner and stripped his accounts and he was found wandering half naked in the street and was taken to a mental hospital. Ed has vowed to not take any more severe mental cases. They are too much of a drain.
I said how does that attitude square with us being married. He gave me his evil grin.

Meanwhile, the Trustee, who is a really nice guy, sent us four frozen filet mignons.
