Every year the twelve days before Christmas, and I've done this for numerous years, we pick a family and every night we go to their door and leave a gift, whether it be cookies or something I picked up at the dollar store or the thrift shop, or some place. We knock and run hell bent for leather back to the car and get away. This year just proves that I'm getting old. We almost got caught several times, at one point Ra and I were laughing so hard I knew they would hear us if we didn't beat feet out of there. My Jen does it now and if Tab were still with us she would too. I'll leave it to Ra to carry on when I'm gone. It's a nice little tradition and comes from the heart.
This year, someone gave it all back to me. When Ra first came back to us three or so years ago, I was heart broken to discover that he didn't believe in Santa Claus. Hell, I still believe in Santa Claus, so, of course, I went all out for the next two years to make Santa as real for him as he is to me. This year, someone did it for me. I went out to get the paper Christmas morning and found about 20 or so gifts all wrapped up and they said to Raman from Santa. I have no idea who this person or people are but they have my eternal gratefulness. I never did find the newspaper. LOL!
I guess what I'm saying is that you reap what you sow. I just read Cindy's blog and felt that you have to share the good and the bad to find the in between. I never have fought fair and that's something I have to work on but I'm into most of the other stuff, I don't lock my cars, usually we leave the keys in them too, and I don't lock my house either, you never know who might need to get in from the cold or have something to eat.
So if in my next blog I write that my car was stolen and that someone broke into my house you'll know why!!
So I'm trying to plan a progressive supper. It involves three homes and how ever many people that want to get a free meal. The first house is for the salad, the second for the main course and the third for dessert and fellowship.
I know you are all thinking I've finally gone around the bend but it's all about love.
Happy Cooking,
Sum
