Hectic Days!

LOL!

Things have been soooo crazy the last few days, I'm tired, but happy! Hubby got layed off already and Ra needed to get ready for school, what a chore that is. I'm glad it's over. I didn't buy him a new back pack as his one from last year is still in good condition.

This is my last week with Friday's off, now we go back on Tuesday, 4 day vacation this week-end, YIPPEE!!!! And they let us pick what hours we wanted to work, I choose 6 to 2:30 so I'll be home before Ra and hubby can get him fed and on the bus for school.

I'm making batter fried chicken breasts, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans for supper. It's easy, quick and simple and a comfort meal to boot. How can you go wrong?

This week-end I'm having a bar-b-cue with the family. They all have new babies and I can't wait to get my hands on them. The babies. So I'm gonna have to get everything ready to go on the grill before they all arrive so I can spoil the young ins. I'm going to do a balsamic vinegar and hot sauce shrimp kabobs, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and a green salad. I'll probably throw on a rack of ribs with my special rub that everyone wants the recipe for and I won't share. LOL! It has paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, chile powder, garlic powder, dry mustard, sea salt and cayenne pepper. I make it up in large batches and put it in a sealed container in the freezer and pull it out as I need it. Good stuff!!

Things are going well, slowly but surely. Letting go of the bs from other's is the only way to go. When you get your priorities straight you know what you have to do. Blaming other's is chicken shit as far as I'm concerned. We all make our own happiness and our own misery. Life is really on how you chose to live it. I chose happiness and faith and trust and I refuse to listen to ignorant ravings of lunatics on how someone else is to blame for their troubles. Even at work I walk away when people start talking crap about others, I don't have enough time in my days to listen anymore. It's all about me and hubby and Ra, everything else falls by the wayside.

Gonna entertain my neighbor for a bit talk to you soon.

Happy Cooking,
Sum

I agree--we choose whether to be happy or gloomy--I choose happiness over gloominess any time. I am accountable for my actions and the consequences of them--just me! On another note--I swear we make the same rub--I don't make mine as hot probably.
