Where Have All the Days Gone?

Time is sure flying. I get one day done and the next just sneaks up on me and I never know from day to day what is going on lately. Oh well. Such is life.

I'm home for lunch and since hubby started the beef stew for supper I thought that I'd visit with you for awhile. We're gonna have biscuits with the stew and artichokes. I love artichokes. They came in on the truck this morning so I picked up three for us and know that they won't last too long, that's why I'm not making them until I get home tonight. LOL!!!

I pretty much stay away from blogster now, memyselfandi is still stirring up her bologna. Now she writes back to herself and tries to get us all going again. This is just easier than going through all that drama. I won't sink back to her level, ever.

Ra should be walking through the door from school anytime now. Then I get to set up his snack and help him with his homework. It's so much easier getting it done on my break than when I get home.

I applied for another job. It's more money than I'm making now and it has great health benefits. Plus with the two new little ones moving here in a month I'm gonna need all the help I can get. Sis will be home by April 3rd. I can't wait. She is actually on her way to Tenn. That's where her daughter is moving to. So perhaps sometime this summer they will come and visit. But Sis is ready to come home. Everyone always thinks the grass is greener but it never truly is.

I better go get on Ra's snack. I'll stop in afterwork. I promise.

Happy Cooking,
Sum

Congratulations on the new and better job. Better benefits are a HUGE deal nowdays; it's the only reason I am still working at 67. INSURANCE!

I tossed a bag of frozen baby Lima beans in a pan with a half inch of water. Then I cut up half and onion, added it. Then I put in some butter, basil and a package of golden onion soup (Lipton.) Boil and simmer for an hour. Darn good veggie meal!

Bout time you showed up here. I made the best burgers tonight. I take ground sirloin and add some A1 Sauce and oregano to it. Then I brown them in a little olive oil and cook them the rest of the way in the oven. Boy are they good! Juicy, etc. Took me forever to figure out that searing them before I put them in the oven seals in all the juices! At least I learned!
