Liberace was always held up to kids as a fine example of someone who loved his mother. I'm relieved I didn't have to know the details. A young person who lives off a sugar mamma or sugar daddy is a leech, no matter their gender. If they don't expect to get left out in the cold, they are deluded.

Sounds like it. I've had orthopedic shoes since childhood. On occasion, have literally have spent the rent money for shoes that don't hurt me.
learning to walk again right now.
Good luck. Throw out the shoes that cause you pain.

The vote in Iowa has predicted the winning presidential candidate just about fifty percent of the time. If you notice, every four years, one hears about Iowa in the news. the rest of the time, there is NOTHING newsworthy happening there. I've lied in Iowa. They do love their Monsanto Corn.

"Cold Comfort Farm" has been a staple of my permanent library for as long as i can remember! I was unaware there was a movie. Movies can never hold a candle to the books, but sometimes they prompt someone to read the book, for which I am thankful!

Republicans only believe in Abortion On Demand for their mistresses, daughters, and wives. The man is so far over the line into religious mental illness, that his nomination would assure an Obama victory.

Any woman stupid enough to stay pregnant long enough to have twenty children shouldn't be allowed to be a parent. She's too exhausted.
On the other hand, I guess having twenty kids is it's own punishment.

I remember back in the 1960, folk singer Phil Ochs wrote a Civil Rights song about the State of Mississippi, and the line this makes me think of is: "Mississippi, go find another country to be part of." Poorest people in the USA, rottenest educational system. Swing a cat down there, hit six people who can't read. I find their unquestioning dependence on others to do their thinking for them repugnant. The ones who get an education get the heck out.

The legal implications make the mind reel with possibilities: Would the folks there have to back-date their birthdays nine months? Will gametes need a Social Security card? If there is a spontaneous abortion, as happens in a VERY HIGH percentage of pregnancies, will the woman who loses her baby be charged with infanticide? Is the Fetus considered another tax deduction from the moment of conception? Can an unborn child collect food stamps so mother can eat right? And I didn't even have to stop and think hard!

Perhaps a little Brahms Intermezzo? I like the one in A, but there are a bunch from which to choose.

Interesting you should say that, Fredo. I have owned mixers several times in my life, and keep giving hem away, because mixing by hand is less work that cleaning mixer blades.
