Apple Walnut Bread

Well most of you know that this is the season for getting fresh apples.
Wanted to try something different.
This is sort of weird.
While walking along the sidewalk with Buffy and noticed that it was a piece of paper with writing on it.
Someone might had dropped this while walking.
It was a recipe for Apple Walnut Bread.
I myself never heard of this and wanted to try it.
loved trying different things in the baking dept.
To my surprised,it came out great and very easy to make.
Want to shared this with you.
Maybe some of you all ready know this one.

APPLE WALNUT BREAD

2 eggs
1 c.granulated sugar
1 c.of oil(they did not mentioned what kind and use Canola)
1/2 c.brown sugar
1 tsp.vanilla
2 c.flour
1 tsp.salt
1 tsp.baking soda
1 tsp.cinnamon
1/2 cu.walnuts
2 Granny Smith apples,or lg.tart.unpeeled and diced

Stir by hand;do not use mixer.
Mixed eggs, oil, granulated sugar and brown sugar and vanilla.
Sift together and add flour;salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.
Stir in walnuts and apples.
Place in a greased bundt pan or 9 x13 pan.
For me used a regular cake pan works well with me.
Bake 1 hour at 350 degree.
Knowing my oven bake for 45 minutes.
Surely you will be able to tell if it is done.
Good luck and this is very, very easy.

I forgot to add this .Marta remind me of it.About the oil she used 1/2 cup of oil and 1/2 cup of unsweetness apple sauce.Check her comment.I used all apple sauce.I do not used any oil.
Sorry for this.I am sure most of you know this and aware off.
Thank you.Fredo

I made something like it the other night - no oil, no applesauce - and it came out good. Next time I will try adding some applesauce to see if that makes it even better. This morning I gave a big piece to the fox and after he ate a little of it, he carried the rest off to his hiding spot in the woods. I didn't know if he'd like it because the other day I gave him a slice of apple and he wouldn't eat it.

I for one do not like to use oil.
Glad that the fox liked it.

Interesting you should say that, Fredo. I have owned mixers several times in my life, and keep giving hem away, because mixing by hand is less work that cleaning mixer blades.

Totally agreed.Did they not say keep moving?well that is why we do it manually.I supposed will be giving mine away.
Another thing I was tired of peeling apples and got me an apple peeler.
Do I liked it.Mixed review.Probably will give this away also. Thanks for stopping by.

Fredo, I made it, with some alterations on the oil measurement (1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce), and threw in a handful of dried cranberries for fun. Came out great and very tasty! Thanks again....

Marta,I forgot to add this.I did not used any oil but unsweetened apple sauce.I was a little hesitate on the oil.Maybe I should add that to it.
Or maybe too late, but will give it a try.Thank you for reminding me.

Just in time! I was gonna make an apple crisp today, but this sounds good!!
Just before my New England trip, I found a coupon booklet for Burger King.
I used it 3 or 4 times coming and going!! It expired Sun, Oct. 9. How lucky!

Sounds great. it pays to pick up trash. I will try it. It sounds like a good dish to take to someone's party. Stirring by hand works for me. There's a mixer here somewhere ...

Should be good with ice cream?funny you mentioned about the mixer.
Many years I have done all my baking by hand.
Then said to myself, time to get a mixer and did.
Only used this a few times. Not I am back doing it manually.
