Just Notes from the School House

Here it is in Epsom,NH we are looking after five.
Well,finally my knees starting to bother me.
Have not had this for quite some time.
Happened two weeks ago.
When I out for my walk and this is a mile round trip.
Got home,Mike says,what is the matter.
I dunno,think that knee is finally catching up with me.
So,did not bother and continued to carry on with my duties that I have been doing.
Monday morning came and Mike made an appt.with my primary.
Got it and check out my legs and knees,he was not too concerned at this time.
He precribed Predisone with anti inflamtory.
I hate taking this stuff but went along with it and PT for six weeks.
The pills are working and rehab.Most of this I know and been doing this.
Finally things are much better and now will continued with my tennis.This I will not give up.LOL
Rehab is good.
Things are moving along and on a good note.
Then the other day,Mike says he had to go to the Dr.
The back of his leg was all red and inflamed.
what happened?said that it was a tick bite.Oh!that is not good.So he went to the Dr.they gave him two antibodic pills that worked great.How did you get this.Not sure.
He was at the club when it happen.It was a deer tick.
But he is fine now.Weird.Knee problems and tick.
Oh!well the Joy of Life.
Both of us are fine and back to normal.Normal?
I will be back playing tennis on Friday.
Mike is fine and continued to challenge his work.
He loves it.
One more week and we are out of here.
Just wanted to keep in touch with you folks.

Rex had rocky mountain spotted fever from a tick bite when he was young. I
had to give him antibiotics for two months and he still has the virus in
his bloodstream.

Glad he caught the tick bite. Those can be so dangerous. Also good news about your knee feeling so much better.

yes,sort of weird to get it at the club.But you never know.
Knee is feeling great and back to tennis tomorrow.Let see what happens.
PT is working out fine and this woman looking like Julie Roberts a great one.She could be a sister.

Hey!I am 81 and this is the first time that I ever had any knee problems as most of you younger ones get.I am doing damn good for my age.
What is a pain in the knee and not a pain in the ass>

No,I resent that we are not falling apart.We have grown together to enjoyed one another.Chalk that up.I am moving and that is all it counts.
Enjoy your life there.There is only one.
Whew!Ishould have written a book on life.

The PT is helping a lot and it is working.Now I can returned to my tennis game tomorrow.

Will see how this works out.
No,Mike is not in fear of the Lyme as this was checked out.
It was a very tiny baby deer tick that he think picked up at the club?

Those tick bites are really bad. We don't have those same ticks here, but the ones we do have didn't show up this year for some reason, and that's not a bad thing.

He did not get the tick here,from the club house.Ticks around here also been sort of quiet and did not find any on Buffy which I find this sort of strange.Maybe it was the Frontline Plus that he has been on for some time.
But he is much better.Said,he was just a baby deer tick.

Trust me I know. I've been through it last year and now I'm going through it again! Wow to have been a very healthy person, I've really had a tough time this year.

Sorry to hear about the tough times there.Yes,I been fortunate of keeping active and hope to continued this for some time.But you never know.
