We had our first "track a cat" snow last evening. Yesterday was the 26th (Nov). If the old wive's tale hold true, we'll have 26 snows this winter.
Yeah, right. Last year, 22 snows were "predicted". We had only 5 in what turned out to be the warmest winter I can remember.
If you recall, the ground never froze, and my kid's house got stuck in the mud as they tried to move it across a field. The ground is already frozen now! It just may turn out to be a miserable winter--unless you like snow and cold.
Yesterday, I had to take my chainsaw in for some new parts, oil, etc. I think I'm good to go.
While in town, I stopped to see my father and sister. Dad is okay, although he laments not having a car anymore. It's tough convincing him he's too old to drive (95 in March).
My sister, on the other hand, is not okay. She has breast cancer and will have a mastectomy in Dec. Then comes the chemo. Dang. But, she's upbeat about conquering it. My mother died of another kind of cancer and my dad and other sister has skin cancer. So far, I'm good (although I was misdiagnosed as having colon cancer nearly 10 years ago).
Later, gater.
