Clever title, eh? Nothing came to mind.
Nice day today--different from the storms we had yest. Some reports from my county said golf ball size hail stones fell! I had some dead limbs fall, but that's about it. I may even get out for some golf this PM.
Two of my three daughters stayed overnight last night. We talked a lot about "the future"--me, them, the farm, my "estate", etc. I wanted reassurance we were all headed in the same direction. I think we are.
Valerie, from Honduras, says they are there to stay. No interest in the farm land. Their Honduran friends (mine, too) lost their house to a neighbor's fire that spread next door. As far as houses there compare to ours, it's very primitive, but it was their pride and joy--home. So I gave them $300 to help out. Not much, but something. $300 goes a long way in Teguc. It's so tragic. No lives lost, fortunately.
Which reminds me--did you see the Gabbie Gifford special last night? Talk about tragedy. Yet, hope and the fighting spirit!
I mentioned to Valerie she might enjoy a book I was reading. I said "perhaps you could find it at the library in Teguc." But she said the capital city of Honduras has no library!! Can you imagine? She says nobody reads books. People would steal the books from the library. How sad.
We had a good time playing with my grandson, "Johnny boy". (Real name Jensen, my ex's maiden name, which I refuse to use. It's also my son's middle name. One Jensen is enough.) He talking in sentences, nearly potty trained, very well mannered, and a bundle of joy. I tried not to make too much of a fuss over him, not to make his aunt Valerie jealous. She has two kids (left home in Hond. for two weeks). I never had the opportunity to bond with them.
(Check out the photo of my 4 kids, taken 3 years ago in Tegucigalpa if you never have.)
That's a quick update on what's happening midway through November. Adios.
