So... as you know from Part 1, the neighbors directly across the street from me have a ton... alot... much... many... an abundance... of plastic lawn decorations! I affectionately refer to them as "plastic lawn decoration neighbors"
New neighbors had moved in the house two houses down from "plastic lawn decoration neighbors" recently. My office window was open and from the sounds filtering in, it sounded as if the new neighbors were working in their yard.
So I stood up to look out the window. What I saw literally made me scream "Oh My GOD!" so loud that the new neighbors turned around to see who and or where the exclamation came from. I had to duck so they wouldn't see me. I let a half a minute go by and I slowly stood up to make sure I had really seen what I think I had just seen.
Son of a b*tch! You have got to be kidding me!!!
Lined up along the side of their house was about 17 plastic lawn decorations.
What in the name of h*ll is going on??
Is this some kind of nightmare?
Am I on Candid Camera?
I called my husband downstairs. I called my children downstairs. I told everyone to look out the window. Tell me what you see.
My son said "Oh Great!"
My daughter said "Did they steal those from across the street?"
My husband quietly wept ... (just kidding)
We had to close the window. AND... pull the shade. Everyone started talking at the same time, speaking their mind... sharing their comments... uttering their sheer disbelief... noting the odds of it all...
After all, didn't "plastic lawn decoration neighbors" already own every danged plastic lawn decoration ever manufactured? EVER?
Were "plastic lawn decoration neighbors" the reason these people moved here??
Are more plastic lawn decoration lovers coming?
Are we going to be forced to display plastic lawn decorations or pay an association fine if we don't comply?
As it turns out...
The new neighbors were actually having a garage sale and they were simply selling all those plastic lawn decorations. By 5:00pm, they had sold every single one.
I'll bet "plastic lawn decoration neighbors" bought them.
I'd be able to know for sure if there wasn't a huge recreational van, parked on my side of the street, in the middle of our double lot ... blocking my view.
